Sexy Gothic Hair

Finding a hair style that fits your personality and looks great with your facial shape can be a challenge for everyone. From experience, I have changed my hair color in the last 2 years from black to blonde, to red, to brown and back to blonde. I never thought that my hair would fall out from coloring it as like others I thought I could do what ever I wanted so long as I deep conditioned it. Nothing was more frightening than combing out handfulls of hair everyday. Now, with deep conditioning treatments every week, along with cutting off a fair bit of length my hair is much healthier and I am not experiencing the loss. I have found that dying my hair red looked quite dynamite, as red heads are one of the hottest trends out there, but the color was very difficult to maintain. The color would fade quicker than any other color I have tried, leaving it looking dull and artifically colored. With red, it also hard to find a red that looks natural. If you do decide to go the red route, consider adding some low lights instead of going completely red at first.

Dark rich colors are a classic look in gothic hairstyles, and dark hair is one route men cannot go wrong in. Adam Lambert is the perfect example of a goth look done right!

Dark hair can really be dramatic on women as they have the benefit of adding eye make up. The challenge with dark hair, and black hair in particular is it does make most people look quite pale in color, as the color often washes out all the color out of your skin. If your hair is quite processed, the darker color compared to the lighter blonde looks can magnify the dryness if your hair, leading you to depend on shine products to give that glossy look. Packages of die often give the illusion that your hair will be glossy, but that is not always the case. One option in getting around this look is by adding some depth to your hair through low lights. This will give you the darker color you are after while also looking natural without it looking dyed.

If you are willing to be a bit more wild, consider thicker and wider lowlights which adds a bit of a youthful exotic look. If you have the confidence, purple, red and blue work well with dark hair and are availiable in temporary wash out dies, that will give you the fun crazy styles until you wash your hair next.
